About Lynn O’Brien

Lynn O'brienLynn O'Brien is the owner and director of Lynn O'Brien Cheer and Dance. She began taking dance lessons at age eight.

Lynn is a former National Football League (NFL) cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints Saintsations. Her duties with the Saints squad included game day, trips, appearances, performances & being a role model. She danced with the "Dominators of Dance", a popular dance group in New Orleans. The Dominators dance in over thirteen Mardi Gras parades a season!

In Kansas City, Ms. O'Brien coached Girl Force, a circuit workout class geared towards teaching girls ages 8-14 about health, nutrition, positive body image, the dangers of smoking, and the importance of being physically fit.

Lynn was a member of the Goldenettes at Turner High School in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a Universal Dance Association High School All-Star.

Ms. O'Brien taught Pre-K & Preschool for 8 years at Discovery Ark, the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection's Preschool.  She currently teaches preschool at Heritage Christian Academy and coaches over 90 cheerleaders throughout the week from ages 3-18!

Lynn and her husband David, have two children.  Both children are very involved in school and sports.  Ms. Lynn also has two dogs, 2 cats and 2 fish.

Lynn fills her time as a  Varsity Cheerleading coach at a local highschool, coaching middle school cheerleading, recreational cheerleading, club cheerleading and all star cheerleading.

This is Lynn's 15th  year conducting classes and her 20th year conducting camps in Kansas City, Leawood, Overland Park, Olathe and Lenexa. Every year has seen a steady growth in the program and is a lot of fun for the girls, their parents, and Lynn! Through the years Lynn has teamed up with three great Kansas City Sports Teams, The Kansas City T-Bones , The Kansas City Wizards (currently Sporting KC)  and the Missouri Comets, and The Kansas City Monarchs. Lynn says that she is so lucky to get to do something so fun that she really loves and to really connect with each girl. The best part is having so many happy families that return each year and tell all their friends. "Thank you!"
